Agneta Söderberg Jacobson is a senior advisor and project manager at Media Institute Fojo. She has a particular focus on gender equality and diversity in the media. Agneta started her journalistic career in connection with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and for more than ten years she reported from Russia and other post-Soviet countries. During that period, the importance of independent media became even more clear and she has since worked with support for independent, professional journalism. She has long pushed the issue that gender equality and diversity are a prerequisite for good journalism and has also written several reports on the role of women in peace processes. Agneta earned her journalism degree at Stockholm University. She has also studied peace and conflict studies at Sydney University and media development at CEU (Central European University).
