Onushudan: Kidney trading

Watch this episode where the team on the investigative show Onushudan uncovers that organ trade have not stopped as result of increased control, it have just moved and today poor Bangladeshis goes to India to sell their kidneys.

Hospitals around Bangladesh are full of patients getting or waiting for dialyse as a result of total kidney failure. At the same time Bangladesh have become an exporter of kidneys, where middle-men are recruiting poor Bangladeshis to sell their organs in India.

Follow Onushudan to the village that was the reason for Bangladesh to increase the control of organ trade. 10 years ago when extensive organ trade from the villages was revealed the government increased the control. Onushudan goes back to the village and can show that the trade have not stopped it has just moved to India.
