Maya is the communications manager at Fojo. She has worked with human rights and law for ten years, including at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Lund, the Swedish Migration Agency, Star for Life and has run her own business with a focus on project development in India, among others. She has experience in PR from Staniforth/UK and as a translator and freelance writer.
In parallell, for 20 years, Maya has also worked with free art as a form of social change, mainly under her own auspices. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, a master’s degree in human rights from Malmö University and education in liberal arts from The Art Students League of New York, among others. She also has training in social anthropology and communication.
