Agneta Söderberg Jacobson is a senior advisor and project manager at Fojo. She has a particular focus on equality issues and diversity in the media. Agneta began her journalistic career in connection with the fall of the Soviet Union and reported for ten years from Russia and other states in the former Soviet Union. During that period, the importance of independent media became increasingly clear and she has since worked to support independent and professional media.
For a long time, she has argued that equality and diversity are cornerstones of good journalism and has written several reports on the role of women in peace processes.
Agneta is educated in journalism from Stockholm University and in media development at CEU, Central European University.
